The Sisterhood

Charity and sisterhood

The Sisterhood join Lance Armstrong to take part in the Cape Argus cycle race 2010

On the 13th March 2010, one of our Sister’s got a rush of sisterhood blood to her head and decided to race 109km around the Cape Peninsula after hearing that the cycle god himself  - Lance Armstrong – would be participating. After having completed some training spins and a 20km ride last October (London is way too cold for this African) Sister Toe hopped on a  plane to the fairest (albeit windy) Cape courtesy of BA and completed the 109kms with sisterhood ease – admittedly helped by her brothers (as in her real brotherhood) and dad! ‘I am aiming to bring the rest of the sisterhood back here next year – the Argus cycle race is just breathtaking and too good not to be shared and I also think the race needs more females competitors!’ The ride was a training ride in the build up to ‘Tour de Tuli’ which is a 300km mountain bike race through the African Wilderness and takes place later this year in August
