The Sisterhood

Charity and sisterhood

Playtex Moon Walk Marathon Saturday 15th May 2010

Skimpy animal print outfits and all night activities are not unusual pastimes for a typical sister, but on this occasion it was slightly different.
Sister Kirsty Williams and dear friend Kate Mallord took part in the Playtex Moon Walk Marathon.
The night was chilly as the girls joined the 15000 other pairs of bosoms adorned in decorated brassieres gathered for the 11pm start.
The challenge: walk a marathon around the streets of London
The reason: to raise awareness of breast cancer
The girls were inspired to support the cause following the recent diagnosis of breast cancer in a person very special to Kirsty. With the support of the sisterhood behind them off they set to “walk the walk” dressed as wild cats. The night was chilly and the stars were shy but the girls strutted their stuff all the way through to the sunrise to complete the 42km event in under 7 hours.
No rest for the wicked and on completion there was time for a quick shower and straight to work.
