IN THE UK:
Joining the hood is open to any girl no matter how sporty/fit you are. Monthly membership is £10 which includes weekly mailouts, monday paddling sessions, morning swims, social events, access to weekend beach/adventure trips, access to boot camp sessions and training for specific hood races . Every member is expected to raise a minimum of £500 towards the Hood Charity per year. We have social members, gentle sport members and the more insane hardcore members.
IN SOUTH AFRICA:
Here too we welcome all. We go for weekly Dragon Boat sessions at the Cape town Waterfront on a Monday night, regular Table Mountain hikes, adventure races, swims, trail runs, cycles etc. We welcome commitment to the group and each girl has a responsibility to raise funds for our local charity.
